Stoney Creek well 106. Photo from the Al Renton Collection
The April 24 photo of an oil rig was of Well 106 on route 114 in Stoney Creek. This well had a storied past producing up to 100 barrels a day at its peak. It was likely the most photographed well in the system because of its prominent location. This photo was taken in 1994 by Harold Toole, and shows the tower replaced by a pumpjack, about 60 years after the first photo.
